In Sonic Boom Town it is your mission to blow up buildings using the boom box in your car. The objective is to get to the targets as fast as you can and blow them up through sound.
The playing field looks somewhat like the early grand theft auto games, and your radar will show you where to go. Once arrived at the target site you have to increase the volume of your stereo by keeping the spacebar down, until the building is destroyed.
The car itself is controlled by using the arrow keys.
If you arrive at the building too late, you missed, if it takes too long to blow up the building you also lose out. While using your boom box to blow up buildings you are draining the battery of your car, while driving recharges it. All of this needs to be completed within the set time limit in order to advance onto the next level.
